KINISM: IT'S NOTHING NEW!

I have recently been reading about a dangerous new cult called Kinism! Basically, it is the erroneous belief that people of colour cannot intermarry and that ethnic groups should not integrate.. What makes it particularly dangerous is that it is based on scripture taken out of context!

To believe in Kinism is to believe in a doctrine that is strictly contrary to God and in particular in His plan for mankind's redemption and living in the bond of peace, united by the Spirit. Christ Himself said that He had come to draw all men unto Himself.... All. Men. In the fellowship of the Spirit. In the bond of peace. Equals.

John 12:32 ‘and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.’ Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

I see here a resurgence of the Ku Klux Clan, Nazi Germany in its' plan to eradicate Jews and Gypsies, and of course the most modern of travesties against humanity: Apartheid and abortion. With the legacy of Margaret Sanger's movement of birth control and legal abortion, we see that today there are more children of colour aborted than white children at a ratio of 3:1. We would see an even greater amount if Kinism is followed.. Kinism is evil as it tries to fragment the Body of Christ..

Such is mans' predisposition to dislike that which is not like him, especially in matters of colour and race, this cult has the potential to inflame hatred and elitism. Certainly Kinism is totally diametrically opposed to Christ's teachings and exhibits none of the fruits of the Spirit...

We probably will always observe that a person is not of our particular colour or race, but after that initial observation. it should be of no more consequence than when we admire a deep red rose as opposed to a pale pastel pink one. And there is much to appreciate in the diversity of cultures....

I have been blessed to have had people of different race and colour in my life: indeed one of my best friends, Bernadette, a black woman of Sri Lanka and I formed a bond that was equal to the blood bond I share with my twin sister! Our cultural differences were explored and we both learned much from each other. Sadly she returned to Sri Lanka. I still miss her.. and I miss my coloured South African married friends who suffered terribly under apartheid and who were so delighted to be able to share a Sunday Church picnic with us without being segregated into white and coloured sections of the beach....

In previous posts, I have spoken of Christ's love for all men. I have spoken of interracial marriage and how God allows it....and also, how God sent Philip to an Ethiopian man, to save him... If we were to follow the Kinism way, we wouldn't even be sharing the gospel with people of another skin tone.... This is definitely not the way of Christ as it opposes evangelism and fragments the future Body of Christ...

This new false teaching is not only offensive to those of us who love the Body of Christ regardless of race, but according to the Scriptures, it is offensive to God. Let us have none of this evil cult of Kinism, which really cannot co-exist with Christianity...

So as I said, we are going back to apartheid. There is a definite belief that although God can save a person of other race or colour, that is best done by a person of same culture. Obviously, the story of Philip and the Ethiopian man must have been very hard for Kinists to swallow.

Prejudice is something Christ died because of and suffered to free us from: Kinism really isn't new at all...

"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb." ~ Revelation 7:9-10
